The Year 4 Summer Term Maths Test is nationally standardised using live data (over 25,000 scores) from other Y4 children across the country who sit the same assessment. Using real-time test data ensures that the scores offer a reliable and accurate comparison of each child’s performance against other Y4 children nationwide.

The Year 4 Summer Term Maths Assessment is tailored to complement leading maths schemes such as White Rose and the NCETM Prioritisation Framework. This means the Y4 Summer Term maths paper covers all the core Year 4 objectives, while also revisiting key learning from previous years.

Arithmetic & Reasoning

The End of Summer Term Y4 Maths Test is designed to be accessible for all Year 4 children, whether they are working below, at, or above the expected standard. All Y4 children complete one arithmetic paper and two reasoning papers. Each paper should take about 35 minutes.

No Marking Required!

Each End of Summer Term Y4 Maths Assessment is fully auto-marked, removing the need for any manual marking. This means teachers save time not just on photocopying, but on marking as well! Once the tests have been completed, each child receives a raw score, a standardised score, and an attainment level.

On Track?

Detailed results highlight which children are ‘on track’ and how their performance compares to national averages. Whole-school reports for headteachers offer breakdowns by class or year group, and MAT-wide reporting is available to provide oversight across all schools in a trust.
